In anticipation of the first Silicon Yorkshire Expo, which takes place on Wednesday 19 April at the Everyman Cinema in Leeds from 9.30am – 2pm, the final line-up of speakers has been announced.
Bringing together more than 250 IT, tech and digital specialists from across the Yorkshire region, delegates will hear from Bruce Daisley, former Twitter VP and two times Sunday Times bestselling author; Paul Jones, Chief Digital Information Officer for the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust; Sarah Baker, Head of Technology at Sky; Jennifer Anderson, Chief Digital Officer of Eviden; and Rebecca Fitzgerald, Director of Data at Yorkshire Building Society.
This free to attend event, hosted by the fastest growing tech community in the North, will welcome the panel of experts to share their thoughts and opinions on a range of topics including how to get the most from big data, tech trends, mindfulness in the workplace and fertility.
Welcoming tech and digital executives from Leeds, Yorkshire and the wider business community, the event is set to spark debate and ignite discussion between guests and delegates.
Board Director of Silicon Yorkshire, Gareth Huxall, comments: “As with everything we do at Silicon Yorkshire, we wanted to push the boundaries with this event and bring the topics that matter most to the tech community to the stage.
“While we all work in tech and have a vested interest in IT and digital, we are also human. We wanted to use this Expo as a showcase, to share insights on more general topics that we know have an impact on those that work in the sector.
“We would like to thank Bruce, Paul, Sarah, Jennifer and Rebecca for giving up their time to come along. We are really looking forward to welcoming them and to hearing more about their own careers and personal experiences.”
As well as the opportunity to hear from leading tech experts, delegates will also receive a free copy of Bruce’s latest book, Fortitude, which asks people to consider if the version of resilience they have been spun is a toxic myth.
Platinum sponsors of the event are CloudCoCo, the top UK provider of IT support, cyber security and managed IT services; Climb Channel Solutions, the specialty distributor connecting technology vendors with thousands of global resellers; Virtuozzo, the complete cloud platform for CSPs, MSPs and hosts; and Hardy Fisher Services, channel only partner for digital transformation, cyber security and cloud technologies.
Attracting 3,000 pre-registrations before launch, Silicon Yorkshire brings executives and senior executives from technology ecosystems throughout the region and beyond together. The group has ambitions to become the largest and most active tech community in the UK.
