We always wanted to build something that brought together the disparate voices in our technology communities and amplified their great voices whilst filling in the gaps and joining everything together.
A unified voice. A joined up multi-contributor, open source, initiative – where everyone could play a part.
This collaborative approach is no more evident than in own merger with Leeds Cloud. Recognising that we are indeed, stronger together, we wasted no time in pooling our efforts and resources to create something bigger than the sum of its parts; Silicon Yorkshire.
Silicon is a big project and we’re just getting started.
Events, job listings, business directory, deal origination, startup support, Special Interest Groups, Ambassador programmes, working groups, industry supported projects and signposting… more will come in time.
We’re starting in Yorkshire… and we love Yorkshire… but it’s about so much more than that. Creating connections for everyone, discovering opportunities and providing support for a great many. Silicon Yorkshire will promote our tech community to the region, the wider UK and out internationally through our growing Ambassador programme.
