What a fantastic initiative Silicon Yorkshire is. I've attended many tech events and narrow-focused tech get-togethers, but the ambition of Silicon Yorkshire really is something to be applauded and should be supported by all of us. I'm in.
Gav has been in the technology industry for over 20 years and is currently CEO of RapidSpike a Website performance & security analytics platform. He was also the founder of The Test People, the Leeds based Technical Testing Consultancy, which in 2013 to 2015 was one of the fastest growing tech companies in the UK and the fastest growing in Yorkshire.
He won Yorkshire Director Overall & SME Director of the Year 2014 and 2015, alongside multiple growth awards such as Deloitte Fast50 and Sunday Times TechTrack100 awards before architecting a merger with a competitor to create Ten10, the UKs largest independent testing consultancy which he exited in 2018.
He is a CEO who loves building people focused companies with passion & purpose and his experience working within client facing roles in multiple sectors has given him skills in Business Strategy, People, Communications and Marketing along with numerous IT project delivery skills.
Gav loves everything Yorkshire, Sci-Fi and Space, and in his spare time spends time with his awesome daughters, lovely wife Laura, supports Leeds United and coaches Methley United Mini Lions.
